Lexus Skills Awards Focus On Aftersales
Lee O’Doherty of Lexus Liverpool has claimed the top honours in the second annual Lexus Skills Award Competition.
O’Doherty, 32, won the title in competition with four other regional finalists from the UK in a day-long programme of activities. This year’s competition, hosted by the Lexus Academy in Salfords, Surrey in July, focused on the skills of Aftersales Consultants, with competitors working through 11 different test stations. These included role play, written tests and interview scenarios designed to demonstrate both personal and operational skills.
Steve Settle, Lexus Director, presented O’Doherty with his trophy. His success also earned him a trip to Japan where he will take part in the 16th Assembly of Customer Service Champions next April, and £1,000 of activity gift vouchers. He will also be attending this year’s Toyota European Skills Award in Brussels in November.
Steve Settle said: “My congratulations go to Lee and all the Lexus Centre staff from across the country who took part in the competition. We consider such events a vital element of our business and a foundation for the success reflected in Lexus’s five successive J.D. Power and Associates Gold Awards for customer satisfaction.”
