Lexus Electrified
Lexus signalled its plans for a future all-electric, zero-emission vehicle with the world premiere of the LF-Z Electrified, a concept car that points to future design and technologies and the response of the brand to changing customer lifestyles. The concept features performance, styling and technical innovations that should be appearing in Lexus production models by 2025. Read more here.
New ES revealed
The Shanghai Motor Show provided the backdrop for the world premiere of an updated, new Lexus ES executive saloon. Due for launch later in 2021, the revised model has refreshed styling and adjustments to improve ride comfort and braking performance. Read more here.

Lexus has honoured its best retailers in Europe, among them Lexus Derby in the UK. The Midlands team are the proud winners of a 2021 Kiwami award in recognition of all-round business excellence. Read more here.
Design finalists
The six finalists in this year’s Lexus Design Award have completed prototypes of their winning proposals, with the help of a world-class team of mentors. The focus now is on which of them will take the grand prix prize, due to be announced on 27 April. Read more here.
Paper inspiration
Artist Clare Pentlow is the focus of the fifth and final film in the Lexus In Search of Takumi series. She describes the finely detailed paper artwork she has produced, honouring the craftsmanship of Lexus’s takumi craftspeople and inspired by design motifs and materials from the UX compact hybrid SUV. Lexus is to be the exclusive channel sponsor of Sky Arts, the UK’s only dedicated arts TV channel. The relationship will reinforce Lexus’s connection to craftsmanship and creativity and celebrate the company’s Japanese heritage and design-led ethos. Read more here.
Flawless finish
The 2021 launch of the new LS flagship saloon saw Lexus introduce the latest development in its paint technology research, Lunar Silver. This exceptional metallic finish has been produced using microscopic paint layering methods that the company has been perfecting since 2003. Read more here.
