Lexus LS400 – Best Luxury Car

30 March 1998

Lexus took the award for Best Luxury Car at this year’s Fleet News Awards. The LS400 beat off its competitors which included Jaguar, Audi, BMW and Mercedes.

Mark Hall, newly appointed General Manager, Corporate Business received the trophy at the ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Mark Hall said: “I am delighted Lexus continues to be recognised for its outstanding quality and service.” Lexus also won the ‘Best in Class’ for both GS300 and LS400 at the PHH Awards in November.

The judges were influenced by the impressive level of quality and reports of total reliability from leasing and fleet management companies. These attributes make the Lexus LS400 an unbeatable fleet proposition in the luxury sector.

“We have exciting plans for Lexus over the next year, including the launch of a smaller car, the IS200, unveiled on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month. We will have more models and more dedicated Lexus dealers all striving to give our customers the best service possible,” concluded Mark.

Lexus’ parent company, Toyota, won runner-up place in the new award given this year for Fleet Manufacturer of the Year.
