Lexus LC 500 Convertible Makes its European Debut at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show
The much-anticipated convertible version of the Lexus LC 500 flagship coupe will make its European debut on 3 March at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show. It will join the coupe as an aspirational halo model for the entire Lexus range, demonstrating Lexus’s evolution as a luxury lifestyle brand.
The exterior of the new LC Convertible is based on the coupe’s award-winning, aerodynamic design, reinterpreting its distinctive roofline in a convertible that looks good, top up or top down. The design also ensures that elements such as the tonneau cover and the seats complement the overall look of the car when viewed from the outside.
The new model also maintains the coupe’s Exhilarating Performance driving character, giving the driver a sense of being at one with the outside world that can only be experienced in a convertible.
Bracing has been added in strategic locations in the body structure to ensure strong dynamic performance that’s faithful to the driver’s intentions. The naturally aspirated V8 engine provides pleasingly powerful and linear acceleration, accompanied by resonant notes from both engine and exhaust.
To further enhance the driving experience, the LC 500 Convertible comes equipped with neck heaters integrated in the seats and a transparent wind deflector, giving the car the quietness and comfort that are Lexus hallmarks.
The new LC 500 Convertible is scheduled to go on sale in Europe during summer 2020.
