Elegant, Sleek, Stylish And Luxurious – And That’s Just The Lexus LS400
The V8-powered Lexus LS400 was the ideal partner to help unveil the Loewe Pret-à-Porter collection last month in London. In conjunction with Tatler and Vanity Fair, Lexus co-hosted an exclusive fashion show by Loewe’s designer, Narciso Rodriguez.
The LS400, like the Loewe collection, offers ready-to-wear luxury. Leather interior and seats add to one of the most comprehensive standard equipment lists of any car available in the UK. It comes with Vehicle Stability Control and traction control as standard, the unique Lexus Navigator satellite navigation system with touch-screen operation, and a myriad of thoughtful touches such as automatic pollution-sensing air conditioning.
The Lexus LS400, displayed in its latest all-conquering guise complete with a variable valve timed 4.0 litre V8 engine and five-speed automatic transmission was available for guests to test drive during the event.
The Loewe fashion show was held at the new Axis Restaurant, where the City meets the West End and stands on the triangular island site on the corner of Aldwych and The Strand.
After lunch Loewe presented a private viewing of its autumn ready-to-wear collection, fresh from the Paris catwalk and never publicly shown before. The show, winding intimately in and out of the tables in Axis, was a showcase for Loewe’s talented designer Narciso Rodriguez.
Born in New Jersey in 1961 of Cuban-American parents, Rodriguez joined Loewe in 1997. His understated style shot to world prominence with the austerely simple ivory crépe wedding dress he designed for Carolyn Bessette’s marriage to John F Kennedy.
Like the new Loewe collection, understated style are the Lexus LS400’s watchwords. Elegant, refined and with leather in all the right places, the LS400 is the executive car to be seen in, whatever the season.
