The Loft by Lexus and Brussels Airlines is Europe’s Leading Airline Lounge for sixth year running
The Loft at Brussels Airport has been named Europe’s Leading Airline Lounge 2024 at the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA). This is the sixth consecutive year it has won the award since Lexus and Brussels Airlines began their collaboration in 2018.
Created and managed by Brussels Airlines and Lexus, The Loft brings Lexus luxury, takumi craftsmanship, and omotenashi – the Japanese concept of hospitality, to business travellers.
Extending to more than 2,000m2, The Loft has distinct zones including a central bar, comfortable seating for relaxing and a space for undisturbed working. Guests are presented with a warm oshibori towel upon entering. Shiatsu massage chairs, extra-sensory Grohe showers and nap rooms with starlight ceilings are also available. Dining options include hot and cold dishes while a Neuhaus Maîtres Chocolatier is on hand to create sweet treats.
Lexus Brand Ambassadors provide a personal welcome to guests at The Loft, which is open seven days a week, from 05:00 until 21:00. Their understanding of Lexus, and the hospitality requirements of air passengers impressed voters and secured the award.
Accepting the award at the WTA Europe Gala Ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton, Berlin, Olivier Brynaert, Head of Customer Experience, Brussels Airlines said: “Based on the feedback of our guests, we keep on smartly investing in our lounge to remain at the top. We recently renovated the shower suites, improved the set-up of the buffet, and introduced an ‘a la carte’ menu in the HON* area, just to name a few examples. I am so humbled and honoured that we are granted this award for the sixth time in a row. I warmly thank the entire lounge team as well as partners and suppliers for their efforts every single day to make this lounge as great as it is.”
Filip Belmans Head of Communications & Customer Experience at Lexus Europe added: “This award recognises the winning formula of superb customer experience and inspiring design at The Loft. At Lexus, we aim to help customers ‘experience amazing’. We do this by applying omotenashi to every aspect of their journey. This is as true of The Loft as it is of our cars – from the flagship Lexus LM to the compact Lexus LBX – recently voted What Car? Car of the Year 2024.”
