THE LOFT by Brussels Airlines and Lexus wins European Airline Lounge Award for fourth consecutive year
- Lounge concept continues to set the luxury standard for business travellers

THE LOFT at Brussels Airport, created and managed by Brussels Airlines and Lexus, has been named Europe’s Leading Airline Lounge 2022 at the World Travel Awards. The announcement was made on Saturday evening (1 October), at a gala ceremony in Mallorca, attended by key decision-makers, influencers and media from travel, tourism and hospitality. THE LOFT lounge concept has claimed this accolade each year since it opened in 2018.
Covering an area of more than 2,000m2, the lounge is divided into areas with distinctive ambiences, including a central bar, seating zones and a break-out space for those working on the move. Lexus design elements characterise the space, including decor inspired by the Lexus signature spindle grille, a Lexus library and a Mark Levinson audio system.
On entering THE LOFT, guests receive a personal welcome and traditional warm Oshibiri towels. They can relax in shiatsu massage chairs inspired by the seats in the Lexus LS saloon, browse a wide range of digital newspapers, freshen up in the extra-sensory Grohe shower suites, or take a nap in a bedroom with a starlit ceiling, before savouring fine catering which includes delights from a Neuhaus master chocolatier.
THE LOFT at Brussels Airport draws on the concept of the award-winning INTERSECT BY LEXUS brand spaces in Dubai and Tokyo and is inspired by Lexus luxury, design and traditional Japanese Omotenashi hospitality, which centres on anticipating a guest’s needs.
