Slimming World, the UK’s most popular slimming organisation, is upholding its status as a loyal Lexus fleet customer by taking delivery of its 100th car for its all-hybrid fleet. Launched in 1969, Slimming World has helped millions of men and women achieve and maintain their dream weight.
Slimming World continues to enjoy the premium quality, environmental and business cost benefits that its Lexus fleet delivers. Its 100th vehicle is a NX 300h compact crossover, which joins a line-up that includes the CT 200h compact hatchback, IS 300h saloon and RX 450h luxury SUV.
Paul James, Facilities and Fleet Manager at Slimming World said; “Slimming World has always been a forward-thinking organisation and we’re extremely proud of the fact that we were the first company in the UK to have an all-hybrid fleet back in 2014. Working with Lexus has been a pleasure since and we’re delighted to now have 100 hybrid cars.
“Most of our fleet is used by our district and field managers who work across the UK and Ireland to support our 4,500 consultants and 16,000 groups – they cover around 16,000 business miles every year. Most of these managers are women and they are mainly visiting Slimming World groups in the evening, so it’s vitally important to us that they have a safe and reliable car. Our partnership with Lexus enables us to provide them with this as well as supporting our commitment to being environmentally responsible. And just as importantly to their drivers, the cars look good too. Lexus has a big Derby operation and we are committed to working with and supporting local businesses.”
Ewan Shepherd, Director of Lexus in the UK, said; “It is inspiring to see the changes that Slimming World can make to the lives of its customers. It is clear from its decision to select a range of Lexus hybrid vehicles for all of its company vehicles that it is also seeking to change lives by protecting the environment. We have built a strong business relationship with Slimming World throughout the years, with the great support of our Lexus Centre in Derby. We look forward to continuing this successful association in the future. ”
Lexus is a pioneer of clean and efficient petrol-electric hybrid technology and enjoys market leadership in the premium segment with more than 95 per cent of its UK vehicle sales being hybrids, in a range that extends from compact hatchbacks and saloons to performance coupes and full-size SUVs.
