Lexus Sales Soar To Record March Levels

Lexus’s UK sales performance scaled new heights for March with 1,925 registrations, more than 300 up on the previous best, achieved in March 2001. The results mark a rise of more than 50 per cent on March 2003’s figures in a car market that as a whole grew by 6.6 per cent.

Success in March sustains Lexus’s strong performance in 2004: sales figures for the first quarter total more than 3,000, delivering growth for the brand of more than 40 per cent on the same period last year, way ahead of the total market’s six per cent increase.

Lexus’s star performers are the new RX300 and LS430 models, both of which continue to attract strong customer interest. The RX300 is Britain’s best-selling petrol-powered premium SUV in 2004, its popularity driven by its unmatched combination of superb equipment specification, dynamic performance and eye-catching styling. Likewise Lexus’s flagship, the LS430 luxury saloon, exemplifies the peerless Lexus approach to quality and refinement.

The RX’s exceptional performance is reflected in year-to-date sales which for the first time have matched those of Lexus’s established best-seller, the IS sports saloon.

Across the entire Lexus range, customers have been appreciating in increasing numbers both the superior quality and reliability of the cars and the level of customer service that remains second to none.
