Lexus Rounds off Summer at the BBC Gardeners’ World Live Show and Hampton Court Palace Food Festival

Lexus rounds off the summer as headline sponsor of the BBC Gardeners’ World Live show at the NEC in Birmingham from 26-29 August and the Hampton Court Palace Food Festival from 28-30 August.

Lexus Shinrin-Yoku at BBC Gardeners’ World Live

Visitors are invited to step inside the Lexus Forest garden, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, which means ‘forest bathing’. Taking time to relax among trees is considered a sensory experience, which can provide multiple therapeutic benefits, improve overall wellbeing and lower stress levels. 

The Lexus garden concept features the first all-electric Lexus car, the UX 300e compact luxury SUV, set within a Shinrin-yoku-inspired forest environment, both of which can encourage a better quality of life and more sustainable future.

Lexus at the Hampton Court Palace Food Festival

Lexus has teamed up with the UK’s first sake brewery, Kanpai London (Kanpai means cheers in Japanese), to offer guided tasting sessions and talks from sake experts, throughout the Hampton Court Food Festival.  There will be live demonstrations of the production of amazake – a gut-friendly non-alcoholic sake – using koji, a cultivated Japanese mould made from rice or barley, that’s at the heart of sake, miso and soy sauce.

Kanpai was founded by couple Lucy and Tom Wilson in 2016.  They fell in love with the fermented rice drink in Japan, and now hand craft their modern British sakes using traditional Japanese techniques, in Peckham. They offer a sake for every taste, from bold savoury flavours to soft fruity ones, in sparkling or cloudy formats. 

The process of creating sake stands as a tribute to the takumi craftsmanship that is applied to every Lexus, witnessed in design details and flawless finishes achieved with human skills perfected through years of dedicated training.

Show visitors will also have the chance to see a range of Lexus cars including the UX300e all-electric SUV, plus a range of hybrid electric cars: the UX250h compact SUV, the  ES 300h saloon, the ever-popular RX450h SUV, plus the seven-seater RX L.  Two performance-focused Lexus car swill also be displayed: the RC F Track Edition and the stunning LC Convertible.
