Lexus Remodelled in Las Vegas
Top designers’ work takes the spotlight at the SEMA show
Some of America’s leading vehicle design specialists have applied their skills to the current Lexus model range to produce a high-impact display for SEMA, the annual specialist equipment and aftermarket showcase in Las Vegas. The show, running this week, includes the first sight of the new Lexus RC F GT3 race car that will be competing in the USA next year, together with vivid interpretations of road-going models, including the GS F, RC F and IS and RC 200t.
Gordon Ting and Beyond Marketing have produced a GS F finished with a Gloss Burnt Orange Wrap and equipped with a Tein suspension system and an advanced damper kit. The hot body colour contrasts with Advan Racing GT gloss black wheels, fitted with Falken Azenis FK 453 tyres. Performance features also include a GReddy dual system exhaust, Brembo brakes and a Sumero custom carbon fibre aero kit.
The same team have also reworked the RC F. Displayed with the same scorching wrap, the car rides on Ultra Matte gunmetal blue 20-inch wheels and adds emphasis to its styling with a custom Widebody GT Kit Pandem aero package. Suspension is by KW and the car is fitted with FIA-approved Sparco race seats.
VIP Auto Salon is responsible for the IS 200t on display at SEMA, which comes with a Seibon Carbon aero kit and Voseen 20-inch gold wheels with ultra-low profile Nitto Invo tyres.
The RC 200t is the work of Guy S. DeAlwis and 360 Motorworks. The body is finished in 3M Gloss Cosmic Blue, matched with Stance brushed titanium-finished 20-inch wheels. The impact is increased with lowered springs, AIMGAIN aero body kit and a Tanabe Medalion touring exhaust.
