Lexus raises the technology bar with 2020 upgrades for the UX compact SUV

The UX compact SUV, the latest addition to Lexus’s market-leading range of self-charging hybrids, enjoys a series of new features for the 2020 model year, focusing on safety, style and connectivity. Retail customers are also able to take advantage of a highly attractive finance offer.

The UX grade models can be specified with a new Premium Pro Pack option. This combines all the contents of the established Premium Plus Pack with additional technology-led features, while keeping the car’s on-the-road price below the £40,000 threshold for higher-level Vehicle Excise Duty (VED). The features include: Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with auto-braking, head-up display, triple-eye LED headlights with Adaptive High-beam System, 13-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround audio system, wireless smartphone charger, power adjustable steering wheel and eight-way power-adjustable front seats (with two-way lumbar adjustment on the driver’s seat).

All UX models are now equipped with wireless smartphone integration using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, making it easier for the driver to access their preferred apps and operate their phone via the UX’s multimedia system.

The choice of interior colour schemes has been increased with a new Cobalt option, combining black and blue trim with seat upholstery in contrasting white and blue (fabric for UX grade, smooth leather for Takumi grade and with the Premium Plus Pack option).

There is also a new F White interior exclusive to the UX F Sport with Premium Plus or Takumi packs. This features smooth black leather for the instrument panel with white stitching, and white leather seat upholstery with a contrasting vertical black stripe section on the cushion and seatback of the front seats.

A series of technology features designed to help the driver turn and manoeuvre the car safely have been combined a new Lexus Driver Assist Pack. Offered at no extra cost as part of the Premium Plus Pack, or in addition to the Premium Pack option for £745, this equips the UX with a Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert with automatic braking and an Intelligent Clearance Sonar System.

Together these features can significantly reduce the risk of an accident by giving the driver a better view of their surroundings and alerting them to approaching traffic or static hazards.

Customers can take advantage of a finance offer available through Lexus Financial Services until 31 March 2020. This has a 3.9 per cent APR Representative interest rate and a £1,000 Hybrid Deposit Allowance when purchasing a new UX using a Lexus Connect PCP (Personal Contract Purchase)*.
