Winning start for LBX

The all-new Lexus LBX has enjoyed an early success, being named the What Car? Car of the Year for 2024. The compact crossover was judged to be the best model all-round and also collected the Small SUV of the Year title. The honours make for a perfect prelude to the first cars being delivered to UK customers from March. Read more here; more about the LBX here.

Lexus has become a by-word for reliability, a quality that’s been confirmed by the brand winning the What Car? Reliability Award for a seventh year in succession. Read more here and here.

Morizo magic

Morizo – alias Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda – has helped produce a high-performance version of the Lexus LBX, the Morizo RR Concept. The muscular machine made its debut at the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon, equipped with a 300bhp turbocharged three-cylinder engine, Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission and electronically controlled full-time all-wheel drive. Record-breaking sales

Lexus posted an almost 50 per cent increase in its UK new car sales in 2023, setting a new record total and confirming it as one of the country’s fastest-growing premium brands. Read more here.

Lexus’s route to an all-electric future

Lexus has detailed the new technologies it will use to accelerate its transition to a 100 per cent electric vehicle brand and given an early glimpse of its future vehicle prospects at an early concept stage. The reveals took place at its annual Kenshiki forum in Europe at the close of 2023. Read more here.

From concept car to artwork

The LF-ZC, Lexus’s striking concept vision of a future zero emission sports car, has inspired the creation of a new artwork, recently displayed at ICA Miami. Dutch designer Marjan van Aubel has reinterpreted the car in 8 Minutes and 20 Seconds, creating a full-size graphic using her signature solar cells. Read more here.
