Worldwide sales up 12 per cent
Lexus International has released its sales results for 2015, showing that it sent around 652,000 new cars to customers, an increase of 12 per cent on the previous year’s figures. A series of new models, including the NX, RX and RC , have helped boost performance. Read more here.
Lexus racing in the USA
Lexus andits F Performance Racing Group, are to compete in the North American IMSA sports car series. An RC F built to GT3 racing specifications will contest the GT Daytona class from this season through to 2018, driven by veteran Scott Pruett and young talent Sage Karam. Read more here.
Lexus Design Awards Finalists
There were more than 1,200 entries worldwide for this year’s Lexus Design Award, from which 12 finalists have been selected. All will display their concepts at the Milan Design Week in the spring, with four selected to develop their ideas into working prototypes, including a clock that changes colour to mark the passing of time, created by London-based Turkish designers Studio Ayaskan.
