RC F makes the podium at Pikes Peak
British driver Justin Bell muscled a GT Concept version of the high-performance Lexus RC F up the famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb in the USA last weekend and posted the third fastest time in the car’s class. Its participation adds further impetus to the RC F’s international GT3 racing campaign. Read more here.
Lexus Hoverboard ready for take-off
The next phase of Lexus’s Amazing in Motion campaign will feature a fully functioning hoverboard. Lexus has worked with experts in super-conductive technology to create the one-off prototype, which will be taking flight this summer. Read more here.
Turbo IS announced
The Lexus IS saloon range will gain turbo petrol power for the first time later this year. The new IS 200t will use a 241bhp version of the compact and lightweight new engine featured in the NX 200t, matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission based on that created for the RC F. Race an RC F – virtually
Lexus has captured of the excitement of driving an RC F at speed on the racetrack in a new virtual reality experience that can be enjoyed using a smartphone or Oculus Rift viewer. The effect is made all the more immersive by the 360-degree film footage captured on a real circuit in Spain. Read more here.
