Lexus Honours its Leading Retailers with Centre of Excellence Awards
Lexus Stoke is the Centre of the Year and Inchcape PLC the winner of the Group Award in the 2020 Lexus Centre of Excellence Awards, which honour the brand’s top UK retailers.
The awards, presented this year in a virtual ceremony, reward high achievement across a range of business operations, including customer experience, sales, value chain (after sales), business performance and marketing. A new category for remote selling was introduced for 2020, recognising the challenges faced by the network due to the Covid-19 pandemic, including the extended closure of showrooms to the public. Each centre’s performance was assessed in these key areas, with the overall winner being the business which achieved the highest scores across the board.
Opening the event, Paul Fricker, General Manager Lexus Operations, commented on Lexus’s strong UK business performance in 2020, which resulted in a record high share of the premium market and an outstanding performance in retail sales.
Reflecting on the awards, he said: “These record market share performances demonstrate the increasing appeal of our self-charging hybrid range of vehicles and the significant efforts made by everyone in the network in 2020.
“The way the network has adapted to work with remote selling tools, click and collect, video consultations, online transactions and by appointment only, has demonstrated the agility and adaptability of our centres.”
