The New Lexus RX Inspires a Winter Garden Retreat at Harvey Nichols

New luxury SUV to appear at Harvey Nichols stores around the UK

The comfort, calm and striking design of the new Lexus RX have inspired a transformation of Harvey Nichols’ Fifth Floor Roof Terrace into a luxurious, rugged winter garden haven for the New Year.

The world-famous store has joined with Lexus to mark the launch of the new luxury SUV by creating a peaceful retreat at its flagship premises in Knightsbridge. The Fifth Floor Terrace has been transformed in the spirit of the RX’s styling and craftsmanship, giving visitors a relaxing space where they can escape from the crowds, using plants, furniture, heaters and lighting to provide a rugged outdoor feel.

Capturing the spirit of omotenashi, the traditional Japanese principles of hospitality that Lexus has also applied to its new model’s design and equipment specifications, the venue is serving a specially designed, Japanese-themed menu of snacks and cocktails – including alcohol-free options suitable for drivers.

The new RX represents the latest interpretation of Lexus’s contemporary design language, combining its distinctive looks with new, advanced technologies, hallmark Lexus craftsmanship and, from its re-engineered full hybrid powertrain, even better fuel economy and lower emissions. The new range also includes the first RX to use a turbocharged petrol engine, the new RX 200t.

The new model will be on display outside Harvey Nichols’ London store from now until 14 January, and from the branches in Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol through the month. The Harvey Nichols Lexus RX Winter Garden cocktail menu will also be available at other Harvey Nichols venues nationwide (excepting Liverpool and the Oxo Tower in London).
