Equal pricing for new LC 500 and LC 500h
Customers will pay the same price for whichever version of the new LC luxury coupe they prefer: the V8-powered LC 500 and the LC 500h with the new Lexus Multi Stage Hybrid System will both start from £76,595. Both will be comprehensively equipped, with just three extra-cost options available. Sport and Sport+ Packs can also be specified for those who want to create an even more driver-focused car. Geneva debut for new LS 500h
The LS 500h, the full hybrid version of Lexus’s all-new luxury flagship saloon, will make its world debut at the Geneva motor show in March. It will be presented alongside the twin-turbo V6-powered LS 500 and the 2017 RC F GT3 race car that’s taking part in a full season of international sportscar competition. Read more here.
Lexus at Milan Design Week
The creative centrepiece of Lexus’s presence at this year’s Milan Design Week will be a multi-dimensional light and shadow installation, Lexus Yet, produced for the show in co-operation with designer Neri Oxman from the MIT Media Lab and her Mediated Matter Group. This year Lexus will exhibit in one of the show’s foremost venues, La Triennale. Read more here.
All-new LS revealed in Detroit
The all-new Lexus LS 500 made its world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, a new flagship model for the Lexus range. Powered by a new twin-turbo V6 engine and featuring a 10-speed automatic transmission, the model follows the LC coupe in being built on Lexus’s new GA-L platform. Record-breaking sales
Lexus posted its sixth successive year of sales growth in the UK in 2016, contributing to a record performance in Europe and globally. Around the world, more than 675,000 vehicles were sold in the past calendar year. Read more here.
Lexus strikes a pose in NYC
Lexus has returned as the official automotive partner to New York Fashion Week, providing a fleet of courtesy vehicles for the international event for a fourth consecutive year. To mark the relationship, 10 Lexus cars have been wrapped in custom prints reflecting the autumn/winter collections of four of the show’s top designers. Read more here.
