Lexus Leads The Way In Nationwide MoT Pass Rate Analysis
Lexus quality shines through as Honest John confirmed the manufacturer is rated as the top performer in an analysis of MoT pass rates.
The analysis of MoT records obtained by honestjohn.co.uk, revealed that an average of 88.2 per cent of Lexus cars registered in 2008 passed their first MoT, against a national average of 80 per cent.
Lexus is also the best performing manufacturer when analysing all MoT records, with a pass rate of 75.3%. MoT data has been collected since 1980, a total of 24.5 million records.
Richard Balshaw, Director of Lexus GB said ‘These results reinforce the simple message that, if you buy a Lexus, you are buying a car that is of the highest quality.’
The research by honestjohn.co.uk involved examining tens of millions of records obtained from the Vehicle Operator and Services Agency (VOSA) through the Government’s OpenData scheme. Now honestjohn.co.uk is publishing it as The MoT Files at honestjohn.co.uk/mot – the first time this information has ever been available to the public in such detail.
