LEXUS PRESENTS ORIGINAL MAN AND MACHINE TV AD FOR PRIME SUPER BOWL SLOT
Toned muscles, dynamic shapes, the roar of a V8 engine and a pulsing dance beat: the parallels between human shapes, movement and the power and athleticism of Lexus’s new flagship LC coupe have been captured in an original new ad that will debut during this year’s Super Bowl in the USA.
Man and Machine features movement artist Lil Buck performing to Move Your Body, a powerful track by chart-topping artist Sia, together with a new Lexus LC 500. A 30-second cut will be aired during the second quarter of the Super Bowl game on 5 February, additionally featuring the new Lexus LS 500 limousine, a model which made its world debut earlier this month at the Detroit motor show. An extended 60-second version can be viewed on Lexus’s YouTube channel.
Man and Machine was directed by Swedish film and music video director Jonas Åkerlund, whose sophisticated, artful, and high-energy style dominates the look and feel of the spot – qualities amplified by the work of production stylist B Åkerlund.
The ad is the first for Lexus to be voiced by the British-born, Academy Award-nominated actress Minnie Driver. It also introduces a new global Lexus tagline, Experience Amazing, expressing Lexus’s enduring commitment to delivering the best possible customer experiences.
“Lexus’s newest models reaffirm the brand’s performance, engineering, design, and craftsmanship prowess,” said Brian Bolain, General Manager of Lexus Marketing in the US. “The LC and LS were built from the ground up to satisfy the most demanding and discerning customers, and reflect an ethos that aligns with the world’s best luxury lifestyle brands.”
